Forget what they say About Software Updates, there are no Specific Dates

Over the past few months, i have been ‘Googling’ a lot about Android 5.0  Lollipop for my device and the best i got was a custom ROM that didn’t go well with my device as you might have read it from my earlier post on Issues with Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Lollipop Custom build that Needs Addressing. Developers are working on that and some bugs have already been worked on.  Well, i was tired waiting for the official update and i took a step to ask Samsung officially.

This was my email to Samsung (I was a little specific because the last time i asked i was told to keep checking for updates by going to Settings – About – Software Updates – Update Now) ;

Is my phone ever going to receive android 5.0 update ? Don””t tell me
to keep checking for updates. I know how to. Just tell me if i will ever
receive or never. I will take any for an answer.

Regards

Well, they replied and from it, i discovered something a little bit more. Updates have no specific dates. Forget the posters you see around about update dates. To the best of my knowledge, current  flagship devices are updated first. The rest follow if they will ever be updated. There is no  specific date as they claim to be having insiders. Read their response to me below.
