Every device using a 3G, 4G network with a SIM card needs access point name settings in order to connect to the internet. Access Point Name is the name of the gateway that connects these networks to the public internet. They are unique to service providers and Straight talk isn’t an exception.
For immediate connection, ensure that you are within network coverage and you also have an active data plan with Straight Talk.
Straight Talk APN Internet Settings for iPhone
Once you have Straight Talk SIM in your iPhone and can see network bars, head over to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network then add the settings below:
- APN: tfdata
- Username: (Leave this section blank)
- Password: (Leave this section blank)
If browsing on your iPhone is slow, try clearing cache on your browser or upgrade to iOS 15 for an updated look on Safari and overall iPhone experience improvements. An outdated cache can drastically slow down your browsing experience.
Straight Talk APN Internet Settings for Android Devices
For your Samsung, Oppo, Huawei, Motorola Android devices, or any other Android device, go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names the add new then the settings below. You may also find this under Wireless and Internet.

Save the settings then select Straight Talk as the active Access Point name then restart your device.
If browsing slow, try clearing the cache on your browser.
Remember you will always need to be within coverage and with an active data plan in order to access the internet.
