Google Fi MMS Settings for iPhone and Android Devices

Google Fi MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) settings for your iPhone and Android device. To successfully send and receive MMS messages on Google Fi, ensure you have an active Google Fi data plan and within network coverage.

Google Fi uses the T-Mobile and USCellular infrastructure in the United States so network coverage is wide.

Google Fi MMS Settings for iPhone

Enable MMS on your iPhone before manually setting up MMS settings. To enable MMS on iPhone, navigate to Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging then enable.

Navigate to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network then scroll down to the MMS section then enter the settings below.

  • APN: h2g2
  • Username: (leave this blank)
  • Password: (leave this blank)
  • MMSC: http://m.fi.goog/mms/wapenc
  • MMS Proxy: (leave this blank)
  • MMS Max Message Size: 23456789
  • MMS UA Prof URL: www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

Restart your iPhone by holding the side button longer than a second to shut down then restart for the settings to take effect.

Set up Google Fi APN internet settings on your iPhone after setting up Google Fi MMS as they work together hand in hand.

Google Fi MMS Settings for Android Devices

Google Fi MMS and APN are set on the same page. Set up Google Fi APN internet settings and ensure that APN Type has mms included in it besides default and supl. Also, ensure that MMSC field has the appropriate url set.

To allow your Android phone to automatically set Google Fi APN and MMS settings, delete existing APN under Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names then remove your SIM from your device. Restart your phone then insert your SIM into your phone. Google will send you configuration settings. Restart your device.

Google Fi Automatic Network Configuration Settings on iPhone

Your iPhone can automatically set up Google Fi APN internet settings and MMS settings. To allow your iPhone to do so, navigate to Settings > General >Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings then input your passcode. Only Reset Network settings, resetting everything will clear all the data on your iPhone. Your iPhone receives these automatic settings and installs them on your iPhone.
