T-Mobile own their own network infrastructure and thus other smaller carriers use their 4G LTE and 5G infrastructure to provide their services.

T-Mobile in the United States has the second highest number of subscribers with 110 millions, Verizon is the first with 142.8 million and AT&T the third with 101.8 million subscribers as of Q2 2022.

As for the plans, it may be worth it going with one of its MVNOs like Metro by T-Mobile or Mint Mobile which have unlimited plans starting at $30 per month.

T-Mobile Plans

All the three T-Mobile phone plans have unlimited text, talk and data. High speed data is however capped at 50GB for the Essentials plan and 100GB for the Magenta plan.

You get a lot more deals as you go up the pricing plans though you may never use them. Select your based on usage.

If you are above 55 years, part of the first responders, military and responders, you get up to $20 discount. If you meet, take advantage of the deal.

T-Mobile Unlimited Phone Plan

Speed gets deprioritized during peak hours once you’re out of the allotted high-speed 50GB and 100GB for the Essentials and Magenta plans.

If you are to subscribe to T-Mobile plans, the Magenta plan is more appealing since it is just $10 more than the Essentials plan yet you get 100% more data.

T-Mobile Unlimited Age 55+ Plan

T-Mobile unlimited age 55+ are $20 cheaper than the regular plans.

If you are 55 years or above, take advantage of this plan.

Users must be 55 years or older to be eligible to subscribe to this plan.

T-Mobile Unlimited Military & Veterans Plan

Members of the military are offered $15 discount on the Magenta and Magenta Max plans.

T-Mobile Unlimited First Responders Plan

First responders also get a $15 discount on the Magenta and Magenta Max plans.

Pros

• It’s fast enough when connected to 5G
• Cheap at $50 per month
• Portable though not officially but it works, don’t abuse it though

Cons

• No IP Camera connectivity
• No Port Forwarding hence no services like plex servers
