When you first hear of  the megapixel battle, Nokia Lumia 1020 comes to your mind. Now that was then, lately there is a new one, the Oppo Find 7.

these two devices use different technologies to aachieve their megapixel count . The Nokia Lumia 1020 uses a fully fledged  41 megapixel sensor just like the other 13, 16 ,20 and more.

However with Oppo’s Find 7 , it uses a 13 megapixel camera manufactured by Sony then  uses a software pump up  the photos to 50 megapixel images.

The camera takes 10 photos in one shot, selects the best 4 pictures and combine them to form a 50 megapixel image.Mathematically, 13 * 4 =52 . Adding the losses and other shortcomings , it comes to around 50 megapixel .
