Access Point name is required by any mobile service provider in order to connect the user to the internet through mobile broadband. This is the 5G, 4G LTE, or 3G network. It is the gateway between these networks and the public internet. To connect to the internet through SpeedTalk Mobile, you will need to be within network coverage and with an active SpeedTalk Mobile data plan.
SpeedTalk Mobile uses the T-Mobile network to offer its wireless services. T-Mobile has one of the widest 4G LTE and 5G network coverage in the United States.
The settings are unique to SpeedTalk and therefore and are as shown below for iPhones and Android devices. You can use these settings elsewhere on a compatible device provided you have a SIM.
SpeedTalk Mobile APN Settings for iPhone
For an iPhone, go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Network then add the settings below.
- APN: wholesale
- Username: (Leave blank)
- Password: (Leave blank)
Change the APN to mnet if wholesale does not work after a restart.
Use the same settings under MMS, personal hotspot and LTE sections.
SpeedTalk Mobile APN Settings for Android Devices
For a Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, Google Pixel, or any other Android smartphone or tablet, go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names then add new. You can also find this under Wireless and internet if this option isn’t available on your specific device and android version. Here are the APN Settings:
- Name: SpeedTalk
- APN: wholesale
- Username: (Not set – Leave it blank)
- Password: (Not set – Leave it blank)
- Proxy: (leave it blank – not set )
- Port: (Leave it blank – not set)
- Server: (leave it blank )
- MMSC: http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
- MMS Proxy: (leave blank)
- MMS Port: (Not Set)
- MCC: 310
- MNC: 240
- Authentication type: (none)
- APN type: default,mms,supl
- APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
- APN protocol: IPv4
- Bearer: (Unspecified)
- Mobile virtual network operator: (none )
Save the newly added APN then select SpeedTalk as the active APN. You may need to restart your smartphone for the settings to take effect.
Change your APN to mnet if wholesale does not work after a restart.
The same settings are used to send and receive MMS messages.
You can also share your internet connection with a laptop, PC, or any other WiFi-capable device through a hotspot.
