APN, Access Point Name, is a service provider-specific network settings that you will need to set up in your smartphone in order to connect to the internet. APN contains settings that Telus Mobility Canada will use to set up a connection to the internet.
Telus Mobility Internet Settings for iPhone
These settings will work for all iOS and iPad operating systems with cellular capability. Head over to your settings – Mobile Data – Mobile Data Network then input the settings below. Restart your device if the settings don’t automatically pick and connect to the internet when you have a data plan.

For hotpot on iPhone on Telus Mobility, use the same settings. You can also find your SIM applications on iOS.
Telus Mobility APN Internet Settings for Android Devices
For any Android device, you can generally go to Settings > Mobile Data > Access Point Name and you should find an option to input APN settings. Android device manufacturers put it in different locations depending on the version of Android and their specific skin on Android. You will find it in networks and mobile networks.

Once you have inputted these settings and you have an active data plan, restart your device. Ensure that your preferred network is set to GSM/HSDPA/LTE so that your device can switch between available networks easily.
