Samsung Galaxy Z Flip falls under a new category of smartphones popularly referred as foldables. This is Samsung’s Second model in this category the first being Samsung Galaxy Fold which is a folding tablet hat becomes a regular size smartphone with a taller than normal outer display.
To achieve the folding display mechanism, Samsung included a ultra-thin glass underneath the plastic cover on the display. They also included a microfiber brush-like bustles to keep off little grains of dust that might get in the way of a complex hinge mechanism.
