Straight Talk Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is program a government-funded program that allows eligible families and individuals who need support in meeting their cellphone and broadband needs. The government through FCC (Federal Communications Commission) provides subsidies through selected phone carriers. Straight Talk is one of the carriers that provide subsidized and free ACP services.
ACP provides up to $30 on all qualifying monthly plans for smartphone, hotspot, and tablet plans. Households on a qualifying Tribal lands basis have up to $75.
The ACP program is based on qualification criteria. If you are already on a government benefit program, you likely qualify for it. Some of the qualification criteria are listed below.
- Government assistance programs like SNAP, SSI, Medicaid, FPHA, WIC, or Lifeline
- Veterans
- School lunch programs or breakfast program
- Federal Pell Grant
- Tribal Lands
- Income is 200% less or less than the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
